Redraw
Carriage Assembly (OK-B3001):
The Redraw Carriage Assembly is an alternative
for the redraw system. The evolution of the
redraw system has been limited to cam revisions,
until the introduction of the guidepost style
redraw carriage. Although the guidepost redraw
carriage has many benefits, failure is still
common. After replacing the threads in several
cast-aluminum carriage bodies, the design has
been improved. Because the threads for the hinge
pins are typically the cause of failure, they
were replaced with pins that are supported on
each end and no longer are supported in a cantilever
situation by threads (figure 1). The new design
comes complete with the new hardware necessary
for the installation. The inclusive parts include:
1" diameter shafts (2), and 5/16"
screws (4) used to lock down the shaft (figure
2). In addition OKL's Redraw Carriage is milled
from a solid billet of 7075-T6 (the strongest
alloy available) to ensure the strongest product.
OKL
now offers composite bushings that eliminate
the need for oil lubrication to the Redraw Carriage.
Utilizing similar technology as in our Linear
Guidance System, coolant is delivered to the
one piece bushing through our unique Leader
Pins. The end result is elimination of oil being
injected to the Redraw Carriage, extended lifespan
and eliminating broken oil lines (no moving
lines to break).
- Less chance of bending the rocker arm when
torquing retaining nuts
- Eliminates the need for (4) other parts: ½"-
fhcs, ½"- Locknut, ½"-Jam
nut, Rocker Arm Hinge Pin
- Replaces the rocker-arm hinge pin with a less
costly straight pin
- Includes Shafts and Hardware for Installation
- Same Low Price
- Screws to lock down the shafts are located
on top surface
